Gribb Organic Reishi Mushroom Tincture is a certified-organic dual-extracted liquid supplement made from 100% Ganoderma lucidum whole fruiting body, grown in Portugal under PT-BIO-10. Dual extraction: hot water (beta-glucans, polysaccharides) and organic alcohol (triterpenoids/ganoderic acids, fat-soluble compounds). 2,000mg per 1ml. Ganoderma lucidum — known as Lingzhi (灵芝) in Chinese — has been recorded in Chinese herbal texts for over 2,000 years, including the Shennong Ben Cao Jing (The Classic of the Divine Farmer's Materia Medica), one of the oldest texts on Chinese medicine, dating to approximately 200 BC. In this foundational text, Lingzhi was classified in the highest tier of medicinal substances — those that "nourish life" and can be taken long-term without harm. It was historically so rare and prized that it was reserved for emperors and nobility, associated with longevity, wisdom and spiritual balance. In Japan it became known as Reishi and holds an equally elevated place in Japanese herbal tradition. In Korea as Yeongji. Three cultures, thousands of years, one mushroom consistently recognised as the most valuable — earning it the name "the mushroom of immortality."

Triterpenoids — specifically the ganoderic acid family (ganoderic acids A through Z and beyond, over 130 identified in Reishi) — are fat-soluble compounds that are unique to Reishi among common functional mushrooms. They are produced in significant concentrations in the fruiting body and are responsible for Reishi's distinctively bitter taste and much of its traditional herbal significance. Because they are fat-soluble, they require an organic alcohol solvent to be extracted from the mushroom matrix — hot water extraction alone cannot release them. A Reishi powder or a hot-water-only tincture provides the beta-glucans and polysaccharides but misses the entire triterpenoid layer. Gribb's dual extraction combines both stages — capturing beta-glucans (standardised to 32–40%, β1,3/β1,6) in the hot water stage and the complete ganoderic acid profile in the organic alcohol stage.

Reishi appears in more Gribb products than any other mushroom — the 5 and 8 Mushroom blends, the 5 Mushroom Tincture, multiple targeted formulas. In the 5 Mushroom Tincture, Reishi is at 20% of the formula. In the 8 Mushroom Tincture, it is at 12.5%. In the standalone Reishi Tincture, it is 100% — 2,000mg of pure Reishi per dose, dual-extracted with no other mushrooms sharing the formula. For those who want Reishi as their primary mushroom with maximum per-dose potency, the standalone tincture is the right format. For those who want broad-spectrum coverage across multiple mushrooms, the blend tinctures are more efficient. Many regular users take both — a blend tincture for daily breadth, plus standalone Reishi for additional depth on top.

Both are appropriate — Reishi is the most versatile mushroom in terms of timing. Yes — the tincture contains 20–30% organic alcohol, which is required for the dual-extraction process and acts as a natural preservative. At a standard 1ml dose, the amount is very small. To minimise it, add the drops to a hot drink — the heat causes most of the alcohol to evaporate quickly without affecting the mushroom compounds.

Each 50ml bottle contains approximately 50 daily servings at the recommended 1ml dose. At once daily, that's roughly 7 weeks. At twice daily, approximately 3–4 weeks.
