Real expertise doesn't need a course to prove it.
the gribbers academy
Five years of certified organic farming, written down properly. No infinite hours of video. No in-person workshops. No community fee to keep paying just to keep learning. Our expertise — your way, your pace.
From picking the right substrate to building your own HEPA filter — every guide in here is something we've actually done on our own farm. Not researched. Not aggregated. Done.
Why listen to us
We didn't build a teaching brand around a hobby.
We're Gribb — Portugal's first certified organic functional mushroom brand
PT-BIO-10 certified, five years of documented production, 63 SKUs grown from spore to bottle. This isn't a side project. It's the actual playbook our farm runs on, written down for your kitchen instead of our production facility.

What's in here
Whatever stage you're at, there's a guide written by someone who's actually done it.
Live now — Grow 101 : your first mushrooms, zero decisions required. Three species built for beginners, the exact setup, the real mistakes.
Coming very soon — Build Your Own Flow Hood : the HEPA filter specs, fan selection, and full EU parts list for the equipment everyone tells you that you need — built for a fraction of what a pre-made unit costs.
Next — Grow 201 : substrate science from scratch, advanced species, yield optimisation, your first steps toward a real setup.
Before you buy
Start where your grow actually is. Be honest with yourself about that.
Grow 101 is for you if:
You've never grown a mushroom and want a real first harvest, fast, without buying equipment you don't need yet. Oyster, Lion's Mane, and King Oyster — the three species that don't require sterile technique to succeed.
It isn't for you yet if:
You want Shiitake, Reishi, or Enoki. Those need agar work and liquid culture, and they belong properly in Grow 201 — not squeezed into a beginner guide where they'd set you up to fail.

Questions before you start
No. A course assumes you need to be taught in order, on someone else's schedule. This is a library of real expertise you read when you need it, in whatever order your grow actually demands.
20–28 days from inoculation to first flush for Pearl Oyster on a pre-made block — the fastest, most forgiving path in Grow 101. Lion's Mane and King Oyster take slightly longer.
Not for your first grow. That's equipment for scale. You need a domestic pressure cooker (or a pre-made block, which skips this entirely), nitrile gloves, isopropyl alcohol, and a digital hygrometer — roughly €25–85 depending on what you already own. Once you're ready to build your own flow hood, we have a guide for that too.
Pearl Oyster. Aggressive mycelium, forgiving of imperfect humidity and a slightly sloppy first attempt. Lion's Mane is more rewarding to look at but punishes inconsistent humidity — grow oysters first if you're not ready to mist on schedule.
The cultivation method is universal. The seasonal grow calendar inside Grow 101 is tuned specifically to Portugal and Southern EU climates — if you're somewhere very different, treat it as a reference point rather than an exact forecast for your location.
No. Each guide is a one-time purchase — instant download, yours to keep and reuse for every grow after this one.
